Sustainability

Ceramics is a natural material and as with all raw materials are a finite and will eventually expire or become uneconomical to produce. I am confident of the supply of my materials and that they sourced and processed responsibly and locally wherever possible.

My pieces are investment pieces and are sought after and treasured hopefully for a lifetime and longer. Therefore the industry and design ethos that we are a part of is sustainable and not fashion led.

The material itself is strong and will not deteriorate over time, therefore the lights will last a very long time if cared for. Porcelain is one of the most durable and strong ceramics.

I used Tala bulbs who are also passionate about sustainability and bulbs are of the highest quality and longevity.

I fire a small electric kiln and therefore can pack it full to utilise the whole volume for each firing. My electricity supply is from green energy providers.

All of my packaging is reused and recyclable wherever possible.

The environmental impact of my workshop is something I take seriously and am always keen to improve.
